I pray and hope this e-mail meets everything well with you and all PRCC family.
I wanted to let you know that my ROTC Summer Camp (Warrior Forge LDAC 2013) ministry has been greatly blessed and fruitful because of the Lord’s grace, mercy and your kind visit of encouragement at the very beginning of this course and prayer supports of my endorser PRCC.
for me from CH (LTC) Kenneth Alford, the Warrior Forge Senior Chaplain for whom I have been serving for 74-day of ministry as Warrior Forge Deputy Chaplain. CH Alford is a great leader with father heart for the ROTC Cadets and big brother heart for me and all chaplain trainers as well as chaplain candidates and chaplain assistants – 35 UMT staff. It was an eye-opening experience and I have learned a lot of practical ministries of pastoral care, team work and particularly administrative skills through this opportunity. I had a VIP, my supervisor chaplain (COL) Ackerson (Jewish Rabbi) as he visited me here at Ft Lewis two weeks ago. His direct mentoring with warm encouragement were huge blessings for me.
One more big news is that I have been called again by the Commanding General of 200th Military Police CMD to accompany him and his HQ team to Korea for UFG 13 (Ulchi Freedom Guardian 2013, Aug 17-30). Major General Holman has picked me up at the last moment of preparation so now I am quite busy to prepare for the tour to Korea. I will be my CG’s personal interpreter as he has meetings with the top leaders of ROK Army and acting chaplain for the team during this exercise. This will be my 4th trip with him and also will be last opportunity to accompany him due to my coming activation to be a yearlong CPE Resident at the BAMC(Brooke Army Medical Center), San Antonio, TX recommended by 200th MP CMD, from this December 8.
I believe the Lord will be ahead of me and will prepare my next step after this a yearlong residency program too.
My KAPC Southern Presbytery biannual meeting will be held in Erie, PA from September 16 through 19 and I am going to attend this fall meeting.
I am also going to Laos via Korea in November 8 through 18 to provide the Mission Perspectives Seminar for the only Korean Church in Vientiane, Laos.
My moving trip to San Antonio, TX will be around late November driving my POV. As I will be activated for a year, my position as a TPU chaplain will be also changed and thankfully I recently have got another chaplain for my present unit as double slot.
I would like you to pray for me and my ministries and trips to be fruitful and safe in His grace.
GOD IS SO GOOD! Thank you, Sir.
